Medical Definition of COMMON INTEROSSEOUS ARTERY
: a short thick artery that arises from the ulnar artery near the proximal end of the radius on the dorsal side of the interosseous membrane and that divides into anterior and posterior branches which pass down the forearm toward the wrist
